Our duty to our physician clients and their patients is to ensure timely, accurate test results on all patient cases with which we are entrusted. The laboratory is routinely inspected by the Joint Commission, its accrediting body, and strives to maintain the highest level of quality in the processing, diagnosis and reporting of patient test results.

Should you have a grievance, as a physician client, patient or employee, please review the following policy:

Pathology Lab of Georgia, LLC Grievance PolicyWhen a physician client or their patients have expectations that have not been met or have voiced a complaint, it is encouraged that he/she communicate with the laboratory management as soon as possible. The duty of the lab management is to resolve the complaint whenever possible at the time the complaint is raised. If a client or patient/patient representative is uncomfortable expressing a complaint directly to the lab, he/she may contact the Joint Commission, the accrediting body for the laboratory. For every complaint about our services, we promise to do the following:  

  1. Research will be conducted by contacting laboratory staff directly involved in the situation or supervisory personnel, and all information will be carefully and accurately documented
  2. The complainant will be contacted with a resolution within 7 days OR will be notified of circumstances causing delay.

*If you have a grievance as a patient, you, your representatives or family members have the right to express any concern, have your concern investigated and receive a response. You are encouraged to work with your physician immediately to resolve any issue that may arise. Pathology Lab of Georgia's process to investigate and resolve patient concerns specifies that:

*Note: If concern is raised by someone other than Patient or Patient Representative about a specific case, Federal HIPAA privacy regulations require us to refrain from discussing any specifics about the patient's case that involve individually-identifiable health information unless the patient authorizes this verbally to the hospital representative or signs an authorization form. This form can be obtained by calling the lab at 404-917-1770.
